We can’t say it enough: Filmspace is fun, free and - it’s a biggie - fair. To protect both filmmakers and you awesome Hosts, we’ve created a transparent cancellation policy that works for both parties.
Head’s up, friends! All payments are made 3 - 10 working days after a booking is cancelled.
Cancellation policy for Filmmakers
Alrighty, creatives! The cancellation policy for filmmakers is split between:
Cancellation any time before 48 hours of the booking
Need to cancel a confirmed booking? We’re sorry to hear, but it’s also far from a disaster! You’ll receive a 50% refund as well as any custom fees charged by the Host. However, the Filmspace 5% (ex VAT) service fee still applies.
Cancellation within 48 hours of the booking date
Cancelling within 48 hours of a booking is a tough one. Why? Well, the Filmspace Host was all set to go (and amped to meet you and the crew!) and is now unlikely to secure an additional booking to fill the gap. Because of this, you’ll unfortunately not receive a refund. Lastly, all the Filmspace service fee still applies.
Still waiting on the Host to accept the booking request? All good - you’ll receive a full refund. Fair’s fair!
Cancellation policy for Hosts
Life happens, but with everything in life… There are some rules.
Should you, as the Host, choose to cancel the booking agreement (worse case scenario stuff!), before 30 (thirty) days of the booking day, you won't be entitled to receive the Filmspace service fee back. Cancelling 30 (thirty) days, or closer, to the booking day means you’ll be liable to the Filmmaker for the amount equal to the fee as well as any direct or consequential costs suffered by the poor guys. You’ll also be subject to any cancellation Filmspace cancellation penalties as explained in our terms.
In short, please don’t cancel a booking!
